Kids Adventure Day – Jan 14th, 2026
8:30am-4:30pm | Ages 8-13 | Max 18 ppl
Fun, Adventure, and Discovery — All in One Day! A fun-filled day packed with adventure for kids! Start the day by testing your skills on our climbing wall, then venture into hidden passages on an exciting kids caving tour where imagination meets discovery. Young explorers can also try their hand at digging for real fossils, just like a junior paleontologist. Morning tea and a delicious lunch are included to keep energy levels high!
Kids Explorer Day – Jan 23rd, 2026

Fun, Fossils & Adventure For The Kids! Young explorers will have a blast with orienteering games that test their navigation skills, dig for real fossils along our exciting trail and discover the wonders of nature up close. After all the adventure, they can refuel with a delicious lunch and afternoon tea to keep their energy up for more fun!
Caves & Creatures Up Close – Jan 23rd, 2026

Explore Our Cathedral Cave & Meet Our Local Wildlife! The Caves & Creatures Up Close tour will allow you to experience the Cathedral Cave, followed by an introduction to our local wildlife with Capricorn Wildlife Connections (CWC) and a chance to take a photo with a real python!

Descend Down Natural Rock Face Into The Caves! Our abseiling sites give you the chance to descend down a natural rock face into the cave environments below. Attempt our easy and hard descents. No previous experience required.
Teen Adrenalin Day – Jan 15th, 2026

Action-Packed Fun Day for Teens! The Teen Adrenalin Day is a full day of action-packed adventure where teens get outside, explore nature, and discover just how brave and adventurous they can be! Gear up for abseiling, adventure caving and loads of excitement.
CWC Toad Bust Nights – Dec 17th, Jan 7th & 21st
All Ages • Max 40 People • $35.00 per person
Wildlife Encounters and Real Conservation in Action! Get hands-on with friendly native wildlife in a session with Capricorn Wildlife Connections (CWC), then put your toad-busting skills to work. This project, run in partnership with CQ University, removes invasive cane toads while supporting real scientific research.
Floating Wrecks @ Hedlow Creek
Ages 10-14 • Max 20 People • $75.00 per person
Build, Paddle, Play at Hedlow Creek! Get hands-on with essential knot techniques, then put your skills to the test by building your very own raft at nearby Hedlow Creek and taking it for a splash on the water! Cool off with a free swim, and enjoy morning tea and lunch included to keep your energy up for more fun-filled challenges.
Summer Adventures FAQ
Who can participate?
Summer Adventures activities are designed for all ages, with specific sessions tailored to younger children, teens, and families. Some activities have age restrictions for safety so please check the individual activity details before booking.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes! All Summer Adventures activities have limited spots and may sell out. Advanced booking is strongly recommended.
What should participants bring?
Each activity has different requirements so please check the listing before booking. Participants should wear comfortable clothing suitable for outdoor activities, closed-toe shoes, and sun protection. Hats, water bottles, and sunscreen are recommended.
Are meals included?
For the Teen Adrenalin Day, Kids Adventure Day, Kids Explorer Day and Floating Wrecks, either morning tea, afternoon tea or lunch is included to keep kids fuelled and ready for adventure. Check individual listings for more information.
Is supervision provided?
The Kids Adventure Day, Kids Explorer Day, Teen Adrenalin Day, Rock & Rope Adventure, Floating Wrecks are fully supervised by trained staff to ensure safety and support learning experiences. For Caves & Creatures Up Close and Toad Bust Nights, children need to be supervised by a paying adult.
Are the activities safe for children?
Safety is our top priority. All activities are carefully managed, and staff are trained in first aid and safety procedures. Specific safety guidelines are provided for each activity.
Can adults participate?
Yes! Parents and guardians are welcome to join in and participate alongside their children in the Rock & Rope Adventure, Caves & Creatures Up Close and Toad Bust Nights.
