Stars Wars Astronomy Night – May 17th (RESCHEDULED)

Friday 17 May

6pm - 9pm

— RESCHEDULED DUE TO BAD WEATHER —

Join us for an out-of-this-world event at Capricorn Caves! Come dressed as your favourite Star Wars character and embark on an evening under the stars with astronomy sessions hosted by Dr John McGrath, an outdoor movie screening and best dressed competition that’s sure to be stellar.

Discover the secrets of temporal travel as you learn to gaze into the depths of the cosmos, peering back through epochs and eons to witness stars of such magnitude that they could consume entire planets. John shall unveil constellations, sister galaxies, and guide you to the heart of our own galactic empire. Delve into the enigma of your Star Sign and perhaps catch a glimpse of distant worlds.

Together, we shall ponder the age-old quandary: does life exist beyond the stars? Prepare to be awestruck by the ancestral wisdom of the Force-sensitive Traditional Owners, who revered the stars as guides in their daily quests. Acquire invaluable skills such as celestial navigation and the identification of the myriad of spacefaring vessels that now traverse our skies.

Bookings are essential!
