About: Take a journey through the night skies with adventurer and astronomer Dr John McGrath. This engaging presentation is kid and big kid friendly alike, just bring warm clothes and a questioning mind.

Learn how to look seconds, years, even centuries back in time and see stars so big they would swallow the earth if we were around them.

John will show you gatherings of stars, sister galaxies, how to find the centre of our own galaxy, the meaning of your Zodiac sign, even a planet or two. We’ll even tackle the age old question… is there life out there?

Be surprised how important reading the stars was for the daily life of Traditional Owners. Learn useful skills like navigating with the stars and recognising the increasing number of man-made objects in space.
