Accommodation

No Pets

• Pets are not permitted on the property.

Child Safety

• Children under the age of 9 are not permitted to use the top bunk.

Payment

• All outstanding fees must be paid at the time of check-in.
• Any additional nights must be paid upfront.
• Capricorn Caves does not allow goods or services to be charged back to the room.

Cancellations

• Cancellations made 72 hours before 4:00 PM on the night of arrival will incur a 50% charge of the first night’s stay
• Cancellations made after 6:00 PM the night before arrival, or in the case of a no-show, will incur a full charge for one night

Check-In and Check-Out

• Check-out time is 10:00 am on the day of departure.
• Departure after the agreed time may incur additional charges unless pre-arranged with management.
• Early check-in before 11:00 am may attract an additional fee if the room must be kept vacant the previous day.

Occupancy Changes

• Guests must advise management of any changes in the number of occupants and agree to pay any additional charges for extra persons not included at registration.

Condition of Room

• Guests agree to leave the room in the same condition as found on arrival.
• Excess cleaning, loss, or damage to the room or equipment will incur charges, including but not limited to:

  – Smoking inside rooms

  – Missing equipment

  – Physical damage

• Replacement of lost or unreturned keys will incur a $25 AUD fee.

Personal Property

• Guests are responsible for their own valuables, goods, and vehicles. Capricorn Caves accepts no liability for loss or damage.

Behaviour

• Guests or their visitors must not cause unreasonable annoyance or disruption to others. Breaches may result in eviction without refund.

Use of Premises

• Accommodation is provided for personal use only.
• Guests must not provide goods or services to the public from their room or any area of the property.
• No tenancy rights are created under landlord/tenant laws. Accommodation is granted under a licence which may be terminated for breach of these terms.

Liability

• Capricorn Caves, its management, staff, and agents are not responsible for any restriction that may inhibit your ability to earn income during your stay.

Illegal Drugs and Substances

• The possession, use, or distribution of illegal drugs or substances on the property is strictly prohibited. Breach of this condition will result in immediate eviction and may be reported to law enforcement.

Alcohol and Substance Influence

• Guests under the influence of alcohol or drugs may be refused entry to tours or evicted from the property.

Tours

• All tours require a minimum of one adult to accompany children.
• Enclosed shoes are mandatory for all tours.
• An umbrella or raincoat is recommended in wet weather.

Cancellations

• Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the tour start time are eligible for a full refund of company payments. Refunds for affiliate payments are not included
• Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice will not be refunded, except in cases where the operator cancels due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, in which case customers will receive a full refund or credit

• No-shows will be charged the full tour price

To protect the cave environment:

• No smoking, eating, or drinking during tours (water excepted).

Capricorn Caves reserves the right to:

• Deny entry to anyone under the influence of alcohol or substances.
• Cancel or postpone tours due to severe weather.

Personal belongings (e.g., car keys) may be stored during tours, but Capricorn Caves accepts no responsibility for their security.

Privacy

We adhere to the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988.

• Information collected is required for compliance with State and Federal legislation, fire safety, and billing purposes.
• Failure to provide required information may prevent us from providing accommodation.
• Information may be disclosed to third parties where required by law.
• Personal information will be retained for the period necessary to comply with taxation and accounting requirements (usually seven years).
• We will not knowingly permit misuse of your data.

Compliance

These Terms & Conditions comply with the Australian Consumer Law and relevant State legislation.
