Throughout February, children aged 15 and under can stay free in our cosy cabin accommodation and enjoy free tickets for the Cathedral Cave Tour and Capricorn Explorer Tour!

Kids Free February Terms & Conditions

The “Kids Free Feb” free ticket and accommodation offer is applicable to children aged 15 and under.
All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Offer available only for the Cathedral Cave Tour & Capricorn Explorer Tour and only for cabin accommodation.
For tours, a maximum of four (4) children per paying adult.
For accommodation, a maximum of three (3) children per paying adult.
Offer is valid for all bookings made for the month of February 2025.
All tour participants, including children, must complete the registration process using the code FEB25.
Offer is subject to availability, and participants are encouraged to book their preferred tour or chosen stay date(s) in advance via the official Capricorn Caves website or in person at the kiosk.

					Worthwhile stop in Rockhaven Better than expected! Very interesting cave tour, with great information and fascinating things to see. We’ve seen many caves, but never an above the ground cave, and this allows lots of animals in, including bats, frogs, moths, and spiders. Excellent geology lessons, as well as natural history of the Queensland area. Plus, the cave is warm. But prepare to be a little muddy (at least in the rainy season) during an optional crawl through a narrow side cave, which was well worth it. We enjoyed it as a couple, but so did a family with us with four children (one of whom had been to the cave twice before). Our tour guide was very informative and patient.

					Amazing experience We took so many photos and we even got the tour guide to take a family photo in front of the cave grand entrance. We also saw the bat colony for the first time

					A must do if in Rockhampton/Yeppoon area Amazing and informative about the caves and bats and other cave dwellers.

Izzy has great knowledge with a good sense of humor. She was attentive to us 2 oldies (70 & 75) making sure we enjoyed the tour and were kept safe.

Would highly recommend for all the family, and we will be back.

					Amazing tour - a must do! We often travel past Capricorn Caves when returning from Brisbane, but have never made the effort to visit  Until today! What an amazing experience we had. Candice was our guide and she was a wealth of information. Our three year old had the time of his life, spying tiny bats and exploring the amazing caves. 



The Cathedral Cave tour is doable for people of most fitness levels, and has something for everyone. We were stunned by the beauty of the area and the efforts that have gone into preserving it. We learnt a lot and were blown away to learn the caves are privately owned. We will definitely come back and do one of the longer tours when our son is older - thank you so much to Candice for encouraging us to step outside our comfort zones. We were also really impressed at how well it was organised - can't recommend the Caves enough!

					A beautiful stop We did the tour and stayed the night with a powered site on our drive holiday.  It was such a great way to end the day. The caves are magnificent. Our tour guide Charmaine was brilliant, so passionate and knowledgeable. And the camping site was very peaceful.

					A Memorable Experience with an Amazing Guide Visiting Capricorn Caves was an unforgettable experience that I highly recommend to anyone seeking a mix of adventure, history, and natural beauty. The caves themselves are awe-inspiring, with their intricate formations and fascinating geology. The guided tour offered an in-depth look at the caves' history, their formation, and even their cultural significance to the local area.



Our guide, Mikayla, was exceptional. She was not only knowledgeable but also passionate about sharing the stories and secrets of the caves. Her energy and enthusiasm made the experience engaging and educational. Mikayla had a knack for making the tour interactive, answering every question with patience and insight, and even sharing fun facts that kept everyone intrigued.



One of the highlights of the tour was when Mikayla led us into the Cathedral Cave. Her storytelling combined with the acoustics of the space created a truly magical moment. Her professionalism, combined with her genuine excitement for her work, elevated the entire experience.



If you're visiting the area, Capricorn Caves is a must-see destination, and if you're lucky enough to have Mikayla as your guide, you're in for a real treat!

					Definately worth a visit! Absolutely awesome tour! We did the Family Adventure Tour and Kyle was a blast of a guide. Helped us all the way and encouraged us to push our limits and get out of our comfort zone. He made sure we were comfortable all the way and made sure we waited for everyone. Cannot recommend enough!

					beautiful Well we certainly found a gem among the caves ,beautiful bush walks, clean well maintained cabins and wildlife so abundant you had to dodged it !

					Great family stop The cave tour is amazing! We stayed at the caravan park, great facilities (including a pool) set in a picturesque scenery. Highly recommend a stop here
